Human Rights Day is observed each year on 10 December, the day the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948. The Declaration sets out the inalienable rights that all humans are entitled to and affirm that all humans “are born free and equal in dignity and rights”.
