The Department of Social Affairs of the African Union Commission is finalizing the formulation of the daft Ten Year Action Plan to Eradicate Child Labour, Forced Labour, Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery, before it is submitted to the 3rd ordinary session of the Specialized technical Committee on Social Development, labour and Employment, in Addis Ababa, from 1-5 April 219, for consideration.
Following a first technical consultation on the draft in Addis Ababa, from 14-15 February 2019, a final consultation was organized from 20-21 March 2019 in Addis Ababa, to prepare the draft plan of action for submission to the STC.
