For the third consecutive year, Alliance 8.7 is organizing a virtual side event, co-sponsored by ILO and UNICEF, to the 2021 High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF). The event "Fair share for children, Progress from Alliance 8.7 pathfinder countries in the framework of the International Year for the Elimination of Child Labour", will take place on 14 July from 13:00 to 14:30 EDT (New York time).
The event, organized in partnership with the Group of Friends of Children and the SDGs and the Group of Friends of Decent Work, will consist of a panel discussion between Pathfinder Country representatives, youth advocates and social partners. The event will also feature the release of the new Pathfinder Country progress e-reports on the Alliance 8.7 website.
