Regional Freedom from Slavery Forums

The Regional Freedom from Slavery Forums have now been launched. This series of 7 regional forums will explore promising regional approaches for eradicating modern slavery in local communities and the regions.
The second forum, the Caribbean regional forum on the theme “Demystifying Human Trafficking in the Caribbean Context: The Intersection of Culture and Human Trafficking” took place on 20-22 May 2024 in the United States.

The third forum, the European regional forum, on the theme "Collaboration for Freedom: The Road to 2030" will take place on 10-12 June 2024 in Belgium.  Recent years have seen increasing progress at policy and program levels, with several countries stepping forward to become Alliance 8.7 Pathfinder Countries and the EU enacting crucial legislation including the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) and the Forced Labour Regulation. Registration is open for in-person attendance here
