The June workshop of the Alliance 8.7 Action Group on Supply Chains workshop series, organised by FAO, Verité and RSN presented how data-driven approaches can accelerate the fight against labour exploitation in global agrifood systems.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) presented insights from its DIGICHILD initiative, which leverages GIS data to strengthen traditional child labour monitoring and remediation systems.
Verité and Responsible Sourcing Network (RSN) shared insights from their partnership on the STREAMS Supply Chain Tracing & Engagement Methodologies Project working at the intersection of traceability and labour due diligence. RSN spotlighted its initiative, YESS: Yarn Ethically & Sustainably Sourced, designed to assist mills detect and respond to forced labour in cotton sourcing. Verité shared findings from field pilots testing traceability technologies that support YESS and other efforts—and preview a new suite of traceability.
