The COVID-19 health pandemic is having a huge impact on lives and livelihoods globally. Children are often the first to suffer. The crisis risks pushing vulnerable children into child labour and making life more difficult for the 152 million children already forced to work globally. In Myanmar, more than a million 5- to 17- year-olds are thought to be in child labour – some 9% of children of this age.
