The Terms of Reference for the Alliance were adopted during the 3rd Global Coordinating Group Meeting on 28th November 2018 in Geneva.

Upcoming Pathfinder Strategy Workshops are planned in 9 countries around the world.

The Migration Action Group held its 2nd DFID-funded Workshop in Geneva on 29th-30th November.

On 25 October 2018 the first Pathfinder Strategy Workshop was held in Antananarivo, Madagascar.

Guidelines on how to measure forced labour were approved at the 20th International Conference of Labour Statisticians in Geneva.

The Acknowledge, Act, Advance (AAA) Recommendations were endorsed by governments and businesses at the Nusa Dua Forum in August 2018. 

It aims at accelerating the use of rigorous research by policymakers and practitioners to tackle child labour, forced labour, and human trafficking.

The UNGA has unanimously adopted a resolution declaring 2021 as the International Year for the Elimination of Child Labour.
